Well, I've been pretty busy the last couple of weeks trying to get ready for the Watkins Glen opener on the 16th and the WNY G2G on the 23rd.
What have I done? Well:
I got the strut brace done and have been grinding the welds and applying bondo to them and sanding to make it look like the welds are perfectly flush.
I got all the parts in for the custom intake and got that test fitted. The following day I did a quick install and took it for a test drive to see if it would throw a code. All is good. It makes a real nice sound when I get on the gas and I can see that the gas milage is better when I drive "normal" but with the sound it makes I like to get on it every now and again. I pulled out from a stop the other day and jumped on it before I got the car straight. It got up and took off real quick and threw my hands from the wheel. I really like the increased low end tourqe.
Tuesday I primed the strut barce with a real good etching primer and then yesterday painted the brace and the rear sway bar the same color blue. I used Duplicolor caliper paint in a spray and also bought a brush on kit for the calipers so they all will be the same color blue. (I need to get the calipers done this weekend for the G2G's)
Tonight I reinstalled the sway bar, installed the strut brace and did a final fit and install with the intake.
Only thing left to do before the 16th is get the custom bracket done for the intake tube (should be done this weekend), paint the calipers (also this weekend) and get my new, better than the one made in China which I had, Sunpro vacuum gauge in (probably done tomorrow). Now to polish that valve cover to a shine and clean it up under the hood.
Oh the joys of modding cars........

Its the Amazing Butt Dyno!

Just install a great mod like a cold air intake? Electric supercharger? Big Muffler? Magnetic fuel line ionizer? Awesome wing? Are you getting no respect from your friends for your newly found power? As we all know, these are high end and sophisticated modifications. Some may be TOO sophisticated to actually show up on a traditional dyno. So here we have: The Butt Dyno. Simply place it in the seat, and drive fast, weaving in and out of traffic. (On a race course, of course.) Now you can tell your friends with confidence "That oil-saturated air filter gave me 20 horses!" Just $399.99 plus shipping.
