i changed a headlight bulb today. after taking out the 3 bolts, i just cut the buttons with a pair of sidecutters rather than snapping off the plastic tabs on the bumper cover. i also r&r the drivers door panel to check out a power mirror problem. after checking power and ground to the switch with my power probe, i back probed the connector in order to verify the function of all 4 motor(2 each side, all ok). turns out the switch has a little printed circuit board same as a keyboard. some liquid(rain, car wash soap, coffee???) corroded the copper under the contacts. i scraped it off but one of the copper contacts is almost gone so the i have to fiddle with the button to gat rh motion. guess a new switch is needed.

Rang up 730 miles on the rental HHR, despite sounding like its falling apart around us on every pothole installed by PennDot and NYDot. As an aside, the Chinese made Triangle Tires installed by Enterprise aren't awful, they are quiet and stick pretty well when pushed....but they are cheap as cheap can get apparently, so I'll forgo any forays into triple digit speeds.

Next upgrade?

I didn't do this yet, but with gas at $4, and all the expenses of turbos and superchargers, I'm seriously considering this upgrade.

i'm on the fence with night shading my tail lights & reflectors..... i got a feeling it won't blend in well with the red, might make them stick out like a sore thumb.

I like it! Love the color of your HHR too. I wanted Blue or Silver...ended up with Silver.

How many coats did you do?
