Cranked up Paddy to visit friends for dinner and we finally caught up to the elusive traveling BOST bail bonds billboard, otherwise known as an '08 HHR LS panel. I've been seeing this critter all over town for months but never stopped where I could get a photo of it to post, so guess how surprised I was to find it outside our friend's apartment complex. Kind of an interesting look with the rear end covered in "brick", this bail bonds place has been around since the 80's and its very nicely located for the criminal set....just outside the front door of the county lockup.

Anyway, here's Paddy with his new friend.

Painted my shifter red to match the rest of the interior trim. Polished and detailed her inside and out. This car sure is a "chick magnet". Why do I say this? Just after cleaning her, my wife says her and the daughter need it to go shopping.

I went to change the oil. The dealer really torqued on the drain plug. I ended up taking it to my mechanic to get the oil out and install a new drain plug as Ithe old one was a bit rounded. At least now it has a fill on M1.

Hard to get a good angle on the drain plug laying on your back. While the car was up, I rotated the tires. Should be good until 90K miles.

Gave the gal a wash yesterday, now that the roads have cleaned up a bit going over the Cascades. The HHR gets blasted with this crushed volcanic rock that they use on the winter roads. Makes a real mess.
Oh- installed some good rubber mats in the front, too.
Also - Homer Simpson is my navigator now.....

Pulled a P0236 code last night on the way home from work (problem w/ the turbo). Car drove fine on the way to work boosting as normal. I parked it, worked, then on the way back home didn't get past 5psi on the highway. By the time I got to the house I had 0-1psi and I felt like I was riding a bucking bronco with the way it was surging (No guys, I wasn't hot rodding it either!). I'll have the SS brought to the dealer tomorrow; hopefully the turbo didn't fail on me. I'll keep you posted...
