Finished installing the leather wrapped steering wheel in the Spousemobile, tomorrow I'll start tearing the back end apart to install a factory subwoofer and amp, eventually we'll have the bugger just like we want it.

So found out more fun with my wonderful car.

Put in new ECM to throw anothe CEL this time saying my high pressure fuel pump wasn't working right. So they started checking that was only working half the time. Then found another crimped wire that was frayed to death basically. Same issue my wiring from the wastegate had.

Went and looked at a 09 Lancer Rallyart aka WRX basically in my wonderful Camry rental today.

except the car was FULLY engulfed meaning, the car was toast, and the fuel tank was next! later found out, the owner had just fueled up...also, road was closed. fire and EMS and police had the road closed, I was just keeping people back a safe distance. matter of fact, fire chief showed up shortly after I pulled up, and once done, thanked me for what I did. so minimal, but less worry and stress on their shoulders.

Good work Kev! You never know, you may wind up working for them in the future!

@ Sunflower I wouldn't blame you, that's just a wee bit much to bear.

Doesn't matter how much gas he has in the car, it'll burn. It won't explode, it'll just burn. So the fire might be larger, it's still not going to explode like you see in the movies.
