Just placed an order for a set of 4 "greaseless compounds" from Eastwood.

They are 4 different Grits- 80, 120, 220, and 320 grit.

"Ideal for aggressive removal of material prior to buffing. Easily applied to a Spiral or Loose Sewn buffing wheel, these compounds smooth out the roughest casting edges quickly, speeding your buffing project and saving you time. Best for leveling highly contoured surfaces. 3 lbs. of Compound per poly bag."

Rod Run suggested them to me. He says they work well, shound aid in my Blower Polishing and help in getting the small irregular areas.

Thanks for the suggestion Rod Run.

Took it to Advanced Auto after work so they could hook up their decoder to it. It lit up the engine light on the way to work. Wasn't a loose gas cap this time. It is saying it has a malfunction in ignition coil C. Runs perfectly fine though. No misfireing or hesitation. Calling the dealer tomorrow for an appointment on Saturday to look at it.

Swap the coil if you can; IMHO "coil C" is cylinder #3. If the code follows the coil you may have found your problem. OR it might be time to get new plugs in there. Just my .02.

Allex,

Yes, coil 3 is cylinder 3. I know the exact one that's the problem (according to the code)If the coil went bad then the dealer will fix I'm sure. It isn't the plugs (I beleive) The car only has 32,000 miles on it and I have the 5yr/100,000 mile warranty.

two days late: changed oil and filter on Wednesday - had to, after all the talk about oil levels and how long to drain the oil started gnawing at my feeble brain, until I JUST HAD TO do the oil change.

ps: filled it up to the top of the top notch on the dipstick, leaving approximately 4 oz. left in the 5th oil bottle according to the inaccurate gauge on the side of the bottle.

Did you enter, or are you just shining up to make the other cars in the parking lot feel bad about themselves?
