Sometimes backing into parking spaces is good...

Well I made a one way trip to Charlotte in Boo Boo today, didn't intend it to be one way trip, but stuff happens. I'm not sure if its a linkage or cable failure, but when I went to leave the parking garage I got halfway out of Park when there was a thump, now I have a gearshift connected to nothing at all.

Thankfully I backed into my space in the parking garage as usual, so watching my 13,000 mile old HHR being dragged onto the rollback was only mildly traumatic. Although I'm fairly sure the screeching of the Firehawks echoing in the garage could be heard halfway across Charlotte.

I'm not going to rant and rave or call my HHR a piece of junk, these things happen and its under warranty. I won't find out until Monday exactly what let go, but the Boo-mobile is safely tucked inside the dealer's service department for the weekend.

Maybe the highlight of my day is the ride from Charlotte to Concord in the rollback. The driver certainly had some interesting views on politics, human relations, Honda owners, and why he should be allowed to shoot his teenage son the next time he...ummm....gets a girl in the family way.

Now if y'all will excuse me, its time for a cold one before I fire up the grill.

Enjoy that cold one - you deserve it after a day like that :)

I wish they had done a standard "visible lug" at the center of those instead of the covered "multi/fit"..... The cover ruins the look for me. Nice wheels none the less. What size did you get?

On topic.... I drove her in the rain this morning.... all dirty now. I saw some sweet rides headed down to Columbus for a big show this weekend....... I pulled in behind a real nice chopped 30's coupe done in competition orange, license plate read "Hoodlum" Nice!

I couldn't find too many options when it came down to the center hub, the covers look fine for me. The rims be 17 inch.

Working on more sound barrier onto the Roof now, almost completed just need to do the outter perimeter.

Then the carpet comes out and I do the floor under the seats and console.

Running the Audio/Video cables once the sound barrier is in on the floor

Then the Doors once the interior and seats are back in.

First pic shows the Extensive OEM soundproofing on the roof.
