Nice work A&P, I bet the first Apollo rockets didn't have as much wiring and detail.

She got new front brake pads. Heard no sqweeking at all then yesterday one cracked a bit and it was horrible, this while on of my girls at work got car sick and puked on herself, the booster seat, my cars rear seat, and all over the floor.

Ordered new brake pads all around and rotors as my rear rotor are warped so I didn't bother replacing those pads with the cheap ones I picked up last night. There was no way to deal with / drive with how my fronts were and the rear aren't much better, but at least it should last till monday or so when the new ones come.

Going to do an oil change this weekend, as well as the air and cabin filters.

Bought new tires for her that should be in today or tomorow, she should feel loved.

Thanks.

Once that carpet is out you can see they ran wiring all over, looks like a rank amature wired the car at the factory.
It's all over the place.

And the floor is horrendous!
WTF were they thinking when they designed that Mess?

Certainly NOT that someone would want to Sound Proof it. Nothing is Flat.

Hopefully I will finish the floor today, but GM did me NO favors to help it go faster.

Got new tires installed at Discount Tire, who gave me a really good deal.

While talking with the sales guy, his manager overheard our conversation regarding tire size. So he offers me a set of 4 Bridgestone Turanza's, in the 17 inch required size that were "take offs" from a ricer guy that had them on custom wheels. The tires had about 1000 miles on them and the guy complained his car "didn't handle right" with them. So he traded them back, as used, for some Hankooks.

Discount gave me full warranty, etc. BUT sold them for $120 each (plus tax, tire fee, State tire fee....out the door for $537 plus change. Not bad for a $150/ea tire (I looked at the same tires at Costco for $166.99/ea).

Then went to a place down the street for a wheel alignment.

VERY HAPPY CAMPER

Wheel alignment at Firestone on a Hunter machine for $70.

Believe it or not, everything was within specs.

First all day rain in months so everything stayed parked, its actually nice to just have a rainy day instead of the constant cycle of severe weather we've been having since April. I'm even over pouting about not taking the convertible for a drive like I had planned(wasn't supposed to rain), I guess the weather people are allowed to screw up from time to time after all.
