Got a backhanded compliment from a guy who pulled up next to me in the Walgreens lot. He said Hey Man, HHR's are some ugly cars but I like what you did to yours, you got yours looking real good..He looked to be half in the bag so I just said thanks as he got into his rusted out Explorer and drove off.

I walked past them in the garage while we were having a proper Carolina Frog Strangler(monsoon like downpour), I told them that they should be glad I'm still feeling like doo doo....because otherwise one of them would be outside getting soaked and dirty while splashing up and down I-85/485. I think they understood, maybe even heard a sigh of relief, or one of them has a leaking tire...hard to tell.

Spent a few hours this morning (i.e. 12 am...) swapping swaybars. Out with the TTR that's served me well and in with a new OTTP Hardcore bar (PRS purists: shoosh!). On the drive to work both the Mrs and I agreed that the rear end feels tighter and better planted now. On the plus side I shaved about 10-15 lbs by doing the switch. The negative? My palm and left shoulder are cursing me for doing this by myself with hand tools lol.

Later

Picked it up from the dealer! Sorry for cell phone pic, skies turned gray then it rained not long after I got him.

Then I did my first "mod", finding a home for Oscar who's been in every cage I've owned!

Tomorrow we leave for a motorcycle gather.

I'm looking forward to learning more from you all.

Welcome WolfTamer..Today I picked up a set of Goodyear Multi Season Mats that were on sale at Target. They seem to be good quality and the grey with black heel pad match my interior colors. I'll add them to my winter package as it wont be long before I have to prep the HHR for the inevitable.. By the way just wondering, is this the longest running thread on this forum and is the originator Drifter still around?
