Lined them all up outside the garage so they could enjoy the Carolina sunshine while the Lovely Lady's Honda got its new cylinder head. With taking care of this and that and overcoming a minor snag or two they actually also enjoyed a bit of Carolina moonshine(not the white lightning type), since the Honda took a bit longer than I'd expected.

But all's well that ends well as the Del Sol is running like a champ, after a quick check in the morning to make sure I've got all the air burped out of the cooling system....Michelle will be free to terrorize the local highways and byways.

Now that little project is out of the way I intend to spend some quality time tinkering on the HHR's this weekend, I've had enough "fun" workin' on that funny furrin' car for a good long while.

Got new wheels for our HHR SS . We had a problem w/ one of the stock ones, it was leaking air due to a very tiny crack in the rim, making it unsafe. Rather than paying $700 for ONE new HHR SS wheel, I decided to buy some aftermarket wheels that were cheaper for a set of 4 than 1 new wheel. And this way, they all look the same ( no wheel will look newer than the other )

WOW !!!! I've been looking for wheels and don't remember seeing those, they look great on your SS. Nice pics you should enter the monthly featured HHR.

I can't see the size on those eagles let me guess 8" wheel with 245x40 ??

I gave up looking and just bought some polished Solstice wheels. They left Orlando today, does that mean they will have 2500 miles on them when they arrive ??

I drove it to Papa Murphy's to get one of these.

Update: BBQ your pizza, with apple wood chips, it was sick

Super sharp rims SOMBERSHARK0714, very nice!

Probably didn't save any of that fancy pizza for your old buddy in Carolina did you Sam?

As for me today it was Parked X 3....actually Parked X 7, since nothing left the garage at all. Michelle did take a run in the Honda to make sure the cooling system was finally burped of all the air pockets you get when the system is open.

My back is toast after doing that head replacement, so the rest of the weekend will be spent on the couch watching races and snoozing, now if I could just bend in the middle........

Trust me Greybeard I'm taking it easy, people take the ability to bend for granted, once you can't anymore life becomes more interesting don't you agree?

Thanks for your concern man, I just can't do the whole standing and bending thing for 11 hours like I used to, but considering how much that job would have cost with someone else doing it....I'll deal with the pain.

I've gotten very adept at bending the knees and squating for everything..... Unfortunately now my knees are shot........

Such is life I guess...... That's what they say anyways. Some times I want to punch "They", who ever "they" are, right in the nose.

OT.... Took it over to the surplus shop and then did a pet food run...... She was dirty the whole time from yesterdays rain and I didn't wash her this afternoon...... "Dirty black car syndrome".
