The stock wheels , as you know are 18 x 7.5 . These Moda's are available @ Tire Rack & they are half inch wider 18 x 8. And you can use the stock 225/45-18 tires on that wheel.

Thanks for the compliments !!

Herbie, the HHR, got a new set of Hawk ceramic pads and Powerslot rotors for his 2 front wheels. He also had his calipers painted silver to look cleaner than before.

Time will tell how well these do but I had good luck with this set up on another brand of car. I did the 4 stops briskly from 35 mph then 3 stops abruptly from 45 mph as suggested to bed-in the brakes per Hawk. You then let it rest for 15 minutes to cool. (and the smoke to clear..no kidding!) Pad material transfer to rotors now complete.

The car stops quietly and smoothly now.

Sounds like Herbie is stopping like a champ there QuickRick, glad he gave up smoking too.

As for me I cranked up the Paddy-Wagon for a trip to Harris-Teeter(goodies for the grill), took the long way to de-stress and hopefully help dissipate the muscle spasms in my back, 60 miles later I decided I should actually turn around and head to the store. My back is feeling better, and the grilled salmon tasted fantastic.

Sam- I ran 255x60x15 on 8" American Racings "Nitro" rims on my S-10 for about 8 years..

Nope it was 255x40x18. I have some 255x45x18 on the front of Wifeys car, they are too tall.
