Same here, news already said some of the school delays.. We get weather, folks run out buy bread & milk & close everything..
Methods of driving on ice (of course, only for those who do not know).

1. The distance between the cars more than in summer;
2. Avoid sudden movements (rebuilt in a different row, hard braking, sudden acceleration, etc.). In addition, early start flashing turn signals;
3. During the turning - do not brake, do not step on the gas. The required speed must be achieved before entering the turn. Change the speed only after you exit the turn. The same thing - when you rebuild in the next row.
4. If possible - to use engine braking. While in a car with automatic transmission it is hard to do - try the possibility of a car. Personally for I'm, transmission of HHR seemed little silly, but it is not destinated for "engine braking".

And one more observation that I made in the first winter of ownership HHR. Maybe my Behemoth loves me, maybe it is a feature of American design, but! .. In a desperate situation (when I did everything I could - to no avail), I simply removed his feet from the pedals, do not disturb car to go. And he pulls me and him out of the disaster - it was already 2 times.
Smart car, but do is very scary! Only in a desperate situation, when you have nothing to lose!

Ummm Sam, did you just make an involuntary contribution to the Highway Fund?

A Cruze is bad, but it could have been worse ya know.

You know it would have been more embarrassing if he had called for "backup".

It was grounded due to an unexpected shortage of juice boxes and gummy bears.
