The 2.2 engine can use reg unleaded I believe.

I'll be installing a Eaton M-62 Supercharger (Blower) this year and it will Require Premium. And Synthetic oil like Mobile1.

I've got the 2.4 so I'll have to check and see but I didn't see anything that said to run premium. Mine does have the flex fuel thing...maybe thats the difference.

I'll be damned. Well if I keep getting 25-28 mpg around town and no knock with regular unleaded then I may just put premium in every fourth or fifth fill up. That's what I do with my 1999 Jetta VR6. It supposed to get premium but I usually run regular...sometime mid-grade with no problems and superb gas mileage.

On occasion I'll give my 2.4 a tankful of Regular jungle juice with no ill effects, mainly because of the different additive and detergent levels between the grades of gas. Its good to feed them something other than the regular diet to break up any deposits before they form, that's why my 2.2's get premium every fourth tankful.

I always run 93 octane in my 2.4L. It made a difference before the Trifecta tune, now that it's tuned for 93 it really makes a difference...

Sunoco 93 was $3.99 per Gallon today.

I'll run a tank of premium next tank.

I'm ordering my rear cobalt ss/sc springs this evening. Can't wait to get them installed! Only a handful of other things I plan to do then I'll just be able to sit back and enjoy her!

March 16, 2012.........North Iowa........78 degrees?!
hellz YA i'm gonna wash the beast!
also got the new front end mask on......

...wonder how long until i get tagged for runnin' with no front plate!
*i only put it on to get a proper measurement of the "mouth" opening as i'm replacing the meshing (one benefit of working in a window factory:the screen matches the mesh on the bra!)
most likely i will just mount the license bracket OVER the mask instead of cutting out the opening

Looks good bowtie. I ran mine for 30k without the plate, got to meet some nice young folk in uniform, after meeting one from each division, I gave up and put it back, havent talked to any since.

I wiped it down, repeatedly after 600miles in rain and more rain, in fact it rained twice while I was trying to wash it.

Once you start modding, you can't just stop! It's an addiction. It never ends.
