I finished up a 3300 mile road trip on Monday. The car ran great. I kept the oil companies in the black, spending $408 for fuel. Hard to find cheap gas on this trip. My long distance mpg was down by a couple of mpg. Keeps coming back to the Cooper Tires I put on last year. I didn't see any 35 mpg stretches this trip.

Tires can really make a difference in gas mileage. As much as I wasn't that impressed with the Firestone Firehawks that came on my 2LT, when I replaced them with another brand, I noticed an immediate decline in gas mileage. Where I could easily exceed 30mpg and often got 32mpg in freeway driving, my mileage decreased to 28mpg and struggled to get 30. And this driving the same route.

Turbo...sounds like she's coming along!

I pulled the chrome mirror caps off this even just to see how easy/hard it would be to get them ready to paint. I think I'm going to just use plasti dip on them since they are bound to chip anyways. At least this way I can touch them up pretty easily. Tackling the 3 bar grill this weekend and planning to remove the beauty ring and paint. Can't decide if I should paint it black or try to match the factory paint.

Received and put on the Forge Motorsports Bov today.
Any pictures? Heck no! There was hardly room for me and my tools down there. No way I was getting any camera shots.
Ok. Actually it wasn't that bad after I figured which tools to use and what angle to reach it from. Took about 25-30 minutes for R&R. I'll take it for a test run tomorrow.
