Well since I got this HHR I have been trying to stop a small vibration at 61-68 mph. Well today I had time so I took it to the dealer. They checked the tire balance all perfect, hub bearings all good, rotors good and calipers free. ANY GUESSES? Scroll down for correct answer.

It is the wheels. It seems when they put the wheels on there is some spacer that goes around the hub and the wheels actually sit on it. Well there was no spacers, evidently they are supposed to come with the wheels and did not. Got ugly black steelies(but no vibration) on till they can get the spacers from the place they(the dealer) bought the wheels from. Really they are not really that ugly, looks pretty good with all black wheels yellow tires. No, no yellow tires just checking to see if you were paying attention. Then to the car wash. That's what the HHR did from 7:00am to 1:00pm. I would have never known, I'm sure I have put maybe 100 wheels on cars for one reason or another (before I got AAA) and never have I ever seen a spacer like this or heard tell of one.

Bob 2 the Panel got new Napa/Raybestos Heavy Duty front pads and rotors, the OEM rotors with within a whisker of discard thickness, so into the scrap bin they went. Almost forgot, changed the oil and filter, plus adjusted the rear brakes.

So long to the brake dust encrusted front wheels, hello to butter smooth stops.

Drive to my buddy's house and hung out. Helped him order some new parts for his 2008 Mustang. He's been wanting to fix it up and finally decided to drop some money on it. It's a V6 pony package but very clean. We ordered a nice front chin, painted hood scoop, and new smaller antenna. He's excited. I tried to talk him into a catback and intake but he just wanted a few things to freshen up the front.

Hauled the wife out to breakfast, hauled a pile of tools over to my roofers and still looked good enough for a snap shot.
