Been at the pool and beach all day but I've been out a few times to make sure the wagon is ok. Heading out for dinner in a few. Saw a few other hhr's down here in ft Walton...one was fixed up a little.

so yesterday I needed to go to the post office. I pressed the unlock on my fob and nothing...... OH NO I thought, my battery finally died (original battery on an '06). I used my key to open the door and the horn started beeping so I started the HHR and it ran fine. Shut it off and went to my workshop and opened the fob and sure enough the battery clip was loose. I soldered it, put the battery in it, and it works!!! I checked out the aluminum patches on the buttons and they are just fine.

Thanks to this forum on all the information here so a DIYer can trouble shoot and fix these little (and potentially expensive) PIAs.

Always nice to get a compliment on your ride, sounds like they had an eye for quality Jay!

As for my three, they stayed parked, just a quiet day to vegetate around the condo.

Left mine parked again today, my wife is in NYC for three days with her Mom and Sister, so I "stole" her Fiat 500C.

After driving it home tonight in a monsoon thanks to Tropical Depression Beryl, I can say that the OEM Pirelli tires are going to have to go, that little car was skating all over the place.

Drove Morticia to our local Post Office this morning. I had to get a Postal Money Order sent out to Larry (BAJATRAILRIDER) for the cost of the HHR Teazer High Profile Hood Scoop he picked up me. He paid for it when he picked it up and told me to pay him later.

I wanted to get it paid for ASAP so I sent it out today after the holiday weekend and we are still figuring out the shipping, as soon as we have that figured I'll be able to send him the cost of the shipping.

Morticia sat parked the rest of the day.

Washed the SS yesterday and found thru a whim that if you take RainX and mix it with some clean water and use it to rince rag while doing the wipe down it will prevent streaks and water spots...on all surfaces..comes out sparkly and clean....this is only for those not planning to add wax....
