The lease was almost up on my 06 trailblazer. Nice riding truck but the fuel use was going up on a daily basis!

Figured it was time for something fun to drive. My SS is more fun than I had hoped for!

Wow, I just realized that I bumped up a rather old thread! I'm new to the HHR forums and have been searching through to learn more about my new car...I'm stoked to get it!

I had a 2001 PT Cruiser with 54000 miles. I would have gotten another Cruiser but Chrysler screwed it up when they redesigned it. They also had odd options packages. On a new PT I could not get leather seats unless I got a turbo, and I didnt want a turbo.

So, I ended up getting HHR 2LT.

1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee, V8 chipped, lifted, on 31's. Around 10 mpg.
No complaints of the HHR mpg here!

2005 Trailblazer.
I had been driving SUV's for the past 17 years ('89 GMC Jimmy, '00 Blazer, '05 TB) and I needed a change, and something with better MPG.

All of my previous vehicles were black, and it was time for a change there too - a radical one, my HHR 2LT is Victory Red :-)

When I went to test drive an HHR last month, they rolled out a black one for me to drive, since my last two vehicles I had bought there was black ;-)

Now if the stock market recovers this year, we might be lookin' at trading in the wife's 03 Impala on another one - same color.

well, at first, I didnt exactly "give it up"...but I relieved it from "daily driver" status.

a 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII.
28+ mpg, 4.6 DOHC 280hp, fast, sleek, luxurious, sporty, and a well-modified version, by me.

But at 175k miles, and the thought of spending more money on it due to age/use, was frightening...so I went looking. Found the HHR's so reasonably priced, I had to check them out. always loved them, but thought they cost quite a bit more. Found my DSM 2006 2LT with all options bu leather and roof spoiler, on New Year's Eve, 2007.

drove it home that night, parked the Lincoln a week later, and my HHR has assumed the daily driver role.

a month and a half later, I decided to sell my Lincoln.

I traded in a 1998 Ford Ranger with 102,000+ miles (of which I only added 20,000) and a 2005 Yamaha Star 1100 Classic, 3900 miles......I decided I can get another bike later.
