I ordered my HHR SS Friday, I have about 6 weeks to decide if the 87 Monte SS or the 80 Camaro Z28 has to go. Do I cut off my right arm or my left.......

Old thread just to add to it since I bought my new HHR in March of '06. I gave up a 99 Buick Regal GS 3800 SC V6 with 100+K miles on the clock. It was a nice loaded four door that ran like a top, but seemed to have developed AC problems around 85K miles, I kept fixing it, but finally decided enough was enough and found the HHR on the lot. You really need good AC in Florida.

The HHR has more usable cargo room, better gas milage (30+ vs 25) and new hopefully better technology. So far after 27K miles the HHR seems like a good car. Not quite the same quality ride as the Buick, but it gets to point A to point B very well.

I gave up my 95 Suburban I had for over 8 years and had 248,000 miles on it. I miss the size but do not miss the 42 gallon gas tank.

That`s a tough one to call I couldn`t part with either.BUT if something was to happen to cause one to be totaled beyond repair I would prefer the Monte take it to save the Camaro.I think the Z28 will hold a better return then the Monte in the long run those Z28`s are pulling good numbers now.

I gave up a loaded 2002 Chevy Avalanche Z71 4X4. It was black with painted orange/yellow custom pin-stripes. I had "gator-backed" the plastic cladding black to match the paint. Being the first year of production it had the special leather/cloth seats with the leather bow-ties on each seat. It was definitely a cherry truck and I miss it but the HHR is proving to be very nearly as useful and it gets better gas mileage. It's an orange 07 2LT with the chrome package, sunroof and black leather.

We gave up 2 cars. Traded both of them.
One was a '99 Plymouth Breeze w/ 157k, that I bought and rebuilt, hated to see this one go because of the blood, sweat and tears that it took to rebuild and keep it going.

The other one was a '93 Toyota Camry w/ 195k, it was a beater. Took some sweat to keep it going too.

But no more oil leaks to deal with, you name it.

I bought an '06 HHR LS Sandstone, just a few weeks ago.

Love it so far.
