If my daughter buys my 09 LS, I may look for a 5 spd SS, maybe a Solstice GXP, G8 GT or a newer GTO.

Keeping my panel, unless an SS panel with a 5 speed pops up cheap.

I would love a Mustang or Camaro, but just can't handle RWD in our winters. Already have a Toyota Solara convertible that goes up for the winter, so I've got to get an all-year round car.
Paddle shifters, Zenon headlamps and a Fender Audio System. Im seriously considering this one myself.

VW Jetta SportWagen TDI is a realistic replacement. Similar size and utility to the HHR, but 42MPG and enough torque to have a lot of fun if you want to. Not to mention it runs clean enough to idle in the garage with no fumes at all. A little more pricey, but if you can find a low mileage one coming off lease it would be in line with hhr pricing.

Now if we can only get a few more gas stations to sell diesel, and maybe bring the price down a bit .

I have no plans to buy another car in my lifetime. But with things being the way they are I will most likely get something in the future.

Nothing being made now particularly trips my trigger. The ones I do kinda like are way out of my price range or would get smeg for MPG.

Whatever it turns out to be will most likely be some used econobox.

Of course if a mint ‘69 XKE should happen to drop out of the sky my life would be complete.

In my youth a friend bought a not so minty Jaguar XKE and I went with him to drive it home. It actually ran part of the way. After he put a small fortune into it he could almost count on getting up town and back without having it break down, in our tiny Wisconsin town {pop 300 at the time}

It was a damn sharp looking vehicle just not so dependable.
