Ya know, the more I think about it ... I bought my HHR because it LOOKS sexy but is also practical because I have a 9 and an 11 year old (two girls). Great for vacations, lots of room, comfy, etc. In 10 years or so when my HHR dies, they'll have their own car(s) and I won't have to worry so much about carting them around to school and whatnot.... Soooooo I could feasibly get a car just for me and the other half ....

Hmmmm .... Dream car?? Maybe a BRAND NEW Camaro (V8 of course) .... :)

I, like another member of this forum, made a deal with my dealer. I have a new 2012 Camaro ZL1 on order (standing). If the the dealership continues to honor the agreement (because of manufacturing limitations, pricing etc.), I will give the HHR to my Granddaughter.

I'll know more on November 3, IIRC, the pricing and allocation is announced.

So not a trade per sec.......but I really haven't traded a car in about 30 years.

Are they adding a pack, making it over invoice?

Do you mean over MSRP??? Then no. My agreement is something under that. But we don't know what pricing will be for another month. Rumors = priced to compete with Mustang, around $50K. Much more than that, I'll get another Vette.

Well the vehicles, I thought, I would have traded my SS on: 03/04 Cobra, 05/06 GTO, stock low mileage GN, 5th gen Camaro SS, 2011 GT. Instead, I went with a low mileage mint second gen Lightning. I always loved the Lightnings(both generations) but never thought they had such good potential, as they do. Plus, the insurance is a lot lower vs my SS and the other's, I mentioned above. I have a couple of parts in the garage and a couple more to order over the winter. The combination should be good for low 12's before I start tearing into the engine, which I'm almost 75% done, cash wise. I'm thinking next fall is when I'll finally pull the engine and get to work.
