Thanks for all the insights, and if I could find a super low mileage HHR SS, I would probably stay in the HHR gang.
But man that Blazer SS is nice.just a bank account breaker I am sure

FYI. That Blazer SS is not even a reality yet. Those pictures are just artist renderings according to the article. So, IF they do decide to build a SS version in the future, it won't be the same as pictured.

These have been used for many years on heavy equipment that work in demo construction. No flat tires, keep working.

Catman.....

I believe those were tires injected with foam......at least the tires on our heavy equipment were. I think the tires Papa joe is speaking of is the recent news article on the TV media sites. Those tires are spoked with rubber, Should be a video on this forum if still available, we discussed this a number of years ago as, I believe Michelin, worked on them.

Those airless tires are wide open to pranksters sticking a 3' (or 1m) rod through the tire. Instant immobilization.

Also, those things would collect mud and stones if you go offroad (and ice in winter). How do you deal with wheel balance issues at the dealer?

Snoopy- Those type tires have been out on certain brand Zero Turn mowers for several years now, as your link shows. .. Mixed reviews, from Mower owners.
Would save me money not having to buy armor-all, for our auto tires, But I do Armor-all my Zero Turn mower tires at end of mow season..

Greybeard- That is awesome, 1953 Chevy Bel-Air / Gasser. My 1st car was a '53 210 Deluxe. So I have a fondness for them..Like this 53 Delivery........

There are a few HHR’s I’ll be looking at, to possibly replace Oldblue.
300,000 miles is close, I might replace the drive train, I might just keep driving it.
I want an SS , but the insurance is nuts up here, any performance designation, and you jump to almost double the premium.
A replacement rust free body wouldn’t be out of the question, the salt kills everything!
