Try a GMC Terrain, just 3 inches longer then the HHR, better fuel mileage !

I had an 82 Chevy Malibu wagon.
Too bad some one broadsided me on the passenger side.
Knowing what I know today I would have installed an LS engine (who cares what size) and been very happy.
No, this is not my car. It's a file photo.

I think the 2010 thru 2016 GMC Terrain had the closest looking fenders to the HHR..

I bought my first HHR SS a couple of years ago and was sold on these cars quickly. There is nothing more practical for me. Anyways, knowing they weren't being made anymore I went hunting and now own 4. It would have been 5 but I had to make room for the SS panel I recently bought off of a member on here (I had to let a 45k mile SS go). My daily is a 212k SS, my wife has a 74k SS that she puts 2k a year on, then the panel SS to see what the future may bring with them, and then the replacement for my daily, a beautiful mint 41k flash blue 5 speed car that is under cover in storage along with the panel. So, I have addressed the issue for now......
