was really looking at the Panel, when I was looking at the HHR, However there were none available locally, but My Dealer did offer to locate and get me one, however becuase they would have to purchase it from another dealer, and the additional costs involved with all that, I choose the ONLY flash Blue LS on the lot, and went with it. Still pleased with it very much, and loving it even more each day I drive it. I setup a search on AutoTrader for just the panels within a 200 Mile Radious of me, and was getting new alerts each day. They are out there for sure, just finding one that suits you is the trick. I would HIGHLY advice starting with AutoTrader.com you might just be surprised. Good luck in your search and hope you find what you want.

I just went through the GM VIN card sheets I have for 2007-2011. You can identify a Panel HHR by the VIN.

2007: 7th vin digit 5

2008, 2009: 5th & 6th vin digits:
  • A8 LS panel auto
  • A9 LS panel manual
  • A0 LT panel

2010, 2011: 4th vin digit A

Not sure why the 09 SS Panel isn't explicitly identified.

Also, the RPO code for panel is AXS. The "half panel" (rear doors with glass but no cargo area side glass) is AA5.

If I was shopping, I would look for an 09-up 2LT, better window switch placement and nicer audio.

Or just open the wallet and look for an SS...
...What is better about the audio? Was there a tweak for 09, or were you referring to the 2lt having the prem sound system?
