Whats your HHR's Name??
Its actually pretty funny. I first saw this thread and didn't think anything about it. I am never into naming cars and such.
Then today I posted the pics of my new car on my gaming forum, Sturmgrenadier, and there is an inside running joke where I made a fool of my self about 2-3 years ago by wearing an eye patch.
So one of the guys posted the pic of me in the eye patch and then the pic of my car and said at least they matched.
So I responded and said "Arrrrrggghhh, thanks for giving me a new name for my car, The Black Pearl!"
Okay, so there...I guess she does have a name. Now to have a front plate made up

I've never named a car in the past, but when I got my HHR last week I gave it a name.
Ellen
Basically did it because the license plate ends with ELN

A buddy named mine, his mom has a silver he calls the HERR, so my silver one became the HERRRRRR....because of the full aftermarket exhaust. and its pronounced the same way you imitate a cat purring
The Time Machine
I thought I contributed to this thread before but I guess I didn't.
Just before we picked up the new HHR last March, we watched "Back to the Future" for about the 63rd time. Then I had my 5 year old with me. We had just stopped at the post office when he ran out, opened the door and said, "Get in the Time Machine!"
I buckled him in and played along. I said, "Is the Flux Capacitor Fluxing?"
He said, "This one doesn't have one." I chuckled a bit and got behind the wheel. I started the car and what song was playing? Huey Lewis and the News, "The Power of Love" What are the chances of that happening?
Then I thought for a moment; this is a retro design, based on the 49 Suburban yet has all the modern features. It IS a Time Machine.

It's on a pretty heavy blues/rock album called "On Time"
Um, I call my car....the car.
Pretty strange, I know, but I'm just crazy radical that way
