Who's HHR has the most Miles
#91
My '06 had just 23k on it when I bought it in mid November, 2010. I've now got over 67k on it. Just got done calculating my business mileage for 2011 - just under 20k........

My 2009 2.4L had ~92,000 on her before the horrible guy in the box truck totaled her :-P
Still so mad about that, but nonetheless....With the 92k she still had original tires, and they weren't down to the wear bars either! ha ha :)
Had the right front hub bearing replaced, the intake solenoid (I think that was it?), and the front brakes done around 85k.
Replaced driver headlight twice...
Replaced the Locking Cylinder (Got stuck/jammed while running) around 89k
I think that was about it - mainly just did oil changes, and normal maintenance.

Wow, wow, wow. Great to hear these stories. I'm afraid I qualify for "least" with only 30K on my 2008 SS. Now that she has snow tires, I'll likely add a few more miles during the winter. The Jeep needs a head gasket but only has 60K since 2001. Oh, yea, I walk to work a couple of days a week and my farthest commute is 10 miles. Pretty dumb to have 3 cars with a wife that's a stay at home. But I still love driving my HHR and only wish I had to drive it more often.
Hope she's a keeper, I'm planning on getting at least 10 years driving it.

Only worth $2k!? They gave me almost $12k for mine at 92k miles which I was pretty shocked/happy with, but 234k I could see getting a little less...ha ha :)

$12k is pretty good. I haven't tried to trade mine in but I was just curious as to what kbb would say it was worth. If I don't wreck it, I hope to get a half million miles out of her.

This is great to see how many miles you guys are racking up.
My latest worry is about the timing chain
I have read a few posts where the timing chain had to be replaced
Just curious how many of you have made it to 100k plus and well beyond without having to replace the chain. Also if there where any. Sounds ahead of time before it got real bad

125,000 miles on the 2006 now, timing chain is the original, no problems at all.
I do believe that the life of the timing chain is related to the frequency of oil changes, even though the DIC oil life readout if followed religiously, will let some folks go 10-15,000 miles on the oil before a change....that can't help the longevity of the engine.

I'm still on the origional timing chain at 235,000 miles. I had a Saturn ION with 366,000 miles and no problems with the timing chain. It had the same 2.2 engine that's in my HHR.

My 2011 LS has 19,060 on it. Purchased new on 10/30/2010. No major issues except for warped passenger side door panel and clunky driver side window, both fixed under warranty.
I love my HHR!
