Won’t turn over

Help!

I was changing my master cylinder and didn’t disconnect the battery in the trunk but disconnected from the fuse box knowing I’d have to take the fuse box out to get to the master cylinder. The hot wire hit the extension socket and shorted the car directly through the master cylinder bolt. Now the car will crank by not start. The car is showing the code P068 ecm power control module. I replaced the ecm module and the car still won’t turn over. The next code is P0315 crank position system not learned. Also code P1682 Ingnition switch 2DTC status. I replaced the Ecm, got the ecm to learn the key, I’m in the process of changing the crank position censor. If that doesn’t work I’m going to change the ignition switch. Any ideas you might have will be greatly appreciated.

to the forums!

The ECM needs to be VIN matched to the vehicle.

Did you check the fuses?

You should not need to replace the CPS just have it relearned.

No, it won’t. Find an auto electric specialist, they should have the scan tool to get you running again

Thank you. I’m going to do that tomorrow. I’m hoping to get this car running. It’s been a lot of trial and error and very frustrating

The crank sensor isn't going to harm the engine, mostly your mpg.
The P1682 is what won't let it start. That power for the poertrain and run/crank relays.
