GM Recalling 2006-2008 HHR's
Had mine done today....along with replacing the front and rear bow-ties, which were delaminating. Took a total of 34 minutes.
I looked really hard, and noticed a VERY VERY SLIGHT crease where the cushion material is located. You wouldn't notice unless I pointed it out and then you would probably say , "huh"

Mine went in this morning. They called me yesterday to say the parts were in. I pulled in behind a Sport Red 1LT having the same done. I went ahead and told them about the radio pop, I've heard it a couple of times and wanted them to check it out. I also noticed the bottom of my brake fluid resovior was "damp and grimey" and wanted them to look at that since it was there. Should have it back this afternoon. Didn't want to wait on it so I went back to work. This weekend is oil change time and the K&N drop in goes in.
I just got my letter. Appointment will be made ASAP. In the meantime, I'm not gonna worry too much. Like so many of the more "mature" owners in the group, I ate enough lead paint chips as a kid where I never needed a bicycle helmet.
I scheduled an apointment last week for today at 8am to have the mods done to my HHR for the re-call noticed. I purchased my HHR from Thornton Chevrolet in Atlanta, GA... and it took about 15 minutes. By the time I sat down in the waiting room and fixed me a cup of coffee, it was done.
When I pulled up in the line for service, they asked if I had an appointment.
The impression I got is many owners are just driving up and asking for the mod to be performed, and they are being turned away. I suggest to everyone to call there dealer, make an appointment for the best service.

Isn't it amazing how the American consumer doesn't understand plain english (of course now that I think about it, many people in the US can't speak or read english
I believe the Recall letter indicated you should call the dealer for an appointment.
I was at my dealer today dropping off one of our company vehicles for service and talked to them about mine and it will be going in on Tuesday morning. Drop off my HHR and another one of our company vehicles for service and they will both of us to work and call us when they are done and ready to be picked up.
