Judging from the Cobalt pics this looks like a very simple change. I suppose since it is a safety issue that it would be too much to ask that the GM/Chevy dealer would just give this kit to me and let me install it myself?

when it comes to a safety issue, no dealer would just give it to you to do.

Glad I have the side bags. I hate going to the dealership for anything. can't wait for the warranty to end so I can take it to my mechanic. Dec 2009 EOW.

I guess I could take it to my mechanic now but it would have cost a fortune for all the work I have had done in my first month of Ownership.

All has been well since October! Still only have 15K on the car though. Don't put many miles on her.

I've already had to have the original headliner replaced, and now if I follow through on the recall, my replacement headliner will have to be ripped open? I don't know....I'm thinking of just temping fate instead...

I guess the four layers of Dynamat Extreme I have on my inner roof might be a problem. hahaha They're gonna **** when they have to remove the stuff to put in a chunk of plastic.
