That "Fix" for some has led to still having the issue.. Mine is still the OE one & works fine..

Your dealer greatly influences your experience with your car. My dealer let me keep my old slotted keys because I wanted to use them for lockout “insurance.” I promised not to use them in the ignition. Also, their official line was you weren’t supposed to have anything but the fob attached to the key. Yeah, right. We shouldn’t be surprised when they try to blame the customer.
