last week i got the 2nd form as well with a reimbursement sheet included.

i hope that this does not last much longer. i think that i am liking the Equinox as well!!!

My car got pushed to the front of the line for recall maintenance because it's in for a front end overhaul (I idiotically hit a curb.) I'm convinced the only reason it's getting special treatment is because there's other work being done.
They also fast tracked a loaner vehicle, but it's FAR from what I'm used to driving... A full size Chevy Silverado crew cab isn't ideal for someone who commutes 60 miles a day... I miss my HHR.
XM radio and all of the other toys in this thing don't make up for 17-20 miles to the gallon. Oh, and that cylinder shut off is a joke. The thing runs on 4 cylinders when it's going downhill, no other time.

Is this even worth the trouble?

I only have one key on the ring anyway.

I mean, the way I see it, it's going to cause something WORSE to happen that I actually will affect my every day experience with the vehicle. That is EXACTLY what happened with FIRESTONE and it's made driving the car every day less enjoyable.

well got my car today with the new keys. my wife picked it up and said that both fobs worked still.

we were both enjoying the equinox. the hhr seems better in the twisties and turning but the equinox seems better for the open road. but i told her to get reused to it cause that car is what we are keeping for quite awhile.

oh during that time without the hhr i got my 85 MCSS going and legal. now i need to change the tranny gasket. it is so nice to drive that around again.

hhrumadbruh --- doesn't seem as if it is needed but with my wife driving and my kids in it i don't want to take any chances. when it 1st happened i told her what to do, neutral and restart, but u don't know what will happen if it does occur. also, if u do go to sell it in the future u may have an issue so u might as well do it now.

hhrumadbruh: Also the fact that if you are in an accident and you knew about the problem you could be held liable............

I spoke with the dealer via phone over two weeks ago, at that time they recorded the VIN, supposedly ordered the ignition part(s) and told me they would call back to schedule a date upon receipt of needed items. Have yet to hear anything back. Frankly my past GM dealership svc experiences over the decades have not left me with warm fuzzy feelings upon completions. I honestly dread the possible outcomes I could experience getting this serviced.
