I have an 08 SS and it has the side air bags. I believe it was an option on 08's.

I have an 08, and it doesn't have side airbags.

I just went out and looked inside my 08 SS, and it has the side air bags(there is like a plastic caps that has AIRBAG stamped in it). I paid $17,500 for mine 1 previous owner and in excellent shape with 23K on its clock.

I just made another trip to the dealer and he dropped it down to $16k.

The only thing holding me back is the SS has way more road noise than my LT2. I guess with the bigger/45 series tires and STP there will be more noise.

If I was going back to two cars I would probably get it for a Sunday cruiser.

Thank to everybody for the input.

Correct. If you look at the silver RPO sticker in the glovebox and this is listed, it has them (or simply check for the plastic air bag caps on the ft pillars).

When looking for my preowned '08 in March, '09, I also looked for the LSD, which is RPO G85 on the silver sticker.

Finally, check for the GM Turbo Upgrade kit. It is easily identifiable by the blue and white BOSCH labeling on the upper TMAP sensor. It also has white wiring coming from it instead of multicolored. They supposed to affix an emissions sticker under the hood and a "premium fuel required" sticker on the fuel door, but this might not always be the case.

The noise is not really an issue witht he radio on and after you get a week in it. I have driven both and for the better handling it is a very small price to pay. I have 16" on in the winter and it is a little more quiet and smoother. But it also loses just a little on turn in and cornering.

If I was 50 instead of 70 I would probably buy it in a minute. As I get older
I am more into a little smoother/ quiter ride.

We did drive a 2011 Terrain and it was unusally quite for an SUV.
Man does the trade in these HHRs suck.

Right now trade sucks on most cars.

The Nox and Terrain are entire new vehicles and they will be quiet. The Nox is really a very good buy for the money as long as you don't try to load it up with AWD and video screens.
