08 Stage Kits still on back order?

I have contacted my dealer many many times and I actually had to bring in the paperwork on the stage kit and request that the service tech and parts guy contact GM to get information on the stage kit for the '08. They didn't seem to know anything about it which is kind of sad. I was told that they were on back order until late march or early april and was wondering if any of you knew if that was still the case as here it is late march and I have $650 burning a hole in my pocket. I guess I just want some reliable information as I am not confident I will get a straight answer out of my dealer.

Also if anyone has links to the new install instructions with HHRs with the Brake Fix/Vacuum pump installed I would appreciate it. When I call I would like to have the part number and up to date instructions to show them. I have the old instructions that do not have a number for programming the computer with an HHR with the brake fix. Thanks.

The stage kits just came off back order. According to crateenginedepot.com and more_tourqe_more_hp on this board, all orders that have been placed so far should be fillable with the current stock of parts GM just released.

bobiroc where are you in Illinois? Try contacting Rockenbach Chevrolet in Grayslake, IL for information that you can share with your local installer.

Cool... Looks like I am calling my dealer tomorrow and hoping that they do not act like idiots. I saved part of my tax refund just for this upgrade.

I am in Will County in Lockport. My Dealer is in Tinley Park and I have read that Rockenbach has done a few of these upgrades so if I call my dealer tomorrow and the play dumb with me again I just may give Rockenbach a call.

Worth the drive IMO. I drove up there from Joliet to get mine installed. They know what they're doing.

Well I called my dealer (again) and I was told that it was "unavailable" whatever that means. So I decided to contact Rockenbach and unfortunately I got the Performance Parts voicemail. I guess I will have to follow up on Monday. Wish me luck.

Rockenbach runs the site crateenginedepot.com where I and a bunch of others on here have ordered from. They were helpful throughout the back order situation and I'd definitely recommend dealing with them. The price is better than you'd get from a lot of places as well - $562.50 shipped.
