Whats the install charge? I was told that $650 included the kit and the install.

At Rockenbach they charge 1 hour of install at $110.

$660 or so all included for parts ordered from CED and installed at Rockenbach if you can drive on up.

I have only ordered so far and am still waiting for the backlog to get my kit to me so I can't speak about install times yet.

If your really gonna get a non-GM dealer to install it, your better off just getting an aftermarket tune. The warranty would be shot if someone else does it and if you really don't car about that, you'll get better gains from other aftermarket tunes plus they would most likely be more customizable.

It works out to $700 or so after tax. Not bad at all.

Who mentioned getting it done at a non-dealer? No one in this thread that I have seen. crateenginedepot is the performance parts division of a local dealer.

I think all told I'll be paying somewhere around $700 give or take a few after install, because I think it'll be a 1.5-2.0 hr install where I'm going.

Well I spoke to Rockenbach today and they ordered me a kit. They said the hope to have 100 or so more units come in this week to fulfill orders. They told me about an hour and half for the install and they said I can make an appointment and wait for the vehicle to get done since they are so far away. It means I will most likely have to take a day or half day off of work but I am willing to do that. Thank you for the suggestion of Rockenbach and I hope it works out.

I feel like calling my dealer and saying due to the lack of knowledge of your parts and service guys you lost a sale. Off course I should have expected it when I ordered the vehicle and the parts guys gave me the deer in the headlights look when I mentioned the P.A.L. for my iPod.
