2010 hhr ss

Ordered a 2010 ss on Nov.18. Red,5spd w/performance package(limited slip and Brembo brakes.Noticed alot of changes this year as far as options:
Sunroof= standard (did not want)
Perf. Display = standard (wanted)
Interior color = Ebony/ebony is only choice
Other options are changed but didn't affect my order.Does anyone know other changes that are different for the 2010.

There were reallt no new editions just more lack of choice.

It is cheaper and more profitable for GM to build them all the same loaded vs all different.

Just a few other things like no roof rack availability etc are the only changes.

That's strange that they made the sunroof standard.

I didn't want the sunroof either, but I'll be dammed if its not in the tilt position every day its not raining.

Sunroofs/moonroofs are nice and all, but eventually they leak...

I don't understand why there were so many options for the HHR. You have the LS, 1LT, 2LT, SS, Panel, etc., with three different engines, and all kinds of accesories to add to that.

The Ebony interior is probably the most popular color choice for SS's, and they probably sell better than the other two.

I love my sunroof. Maybe because its the first car I ever had that has one. Nice on a really windy (but warm) day to get some air into the car without getting wind burn. That and it helps prevent the drivers tan on the left arm a bit. :)

They I am sure left it in because most were purchased that way any how and that it would raise the content of the vehicle making it more profitable for GM and the dealer.

While some have leaked it is rare anymore for most sunroofs to leak anymore. Most have been sealed well. OPwners just need to keep the drains open if they park where they can clogg up and lube the track.

Personally and in my situation, I wouldn't want the perf display, but I'm one of those 20 year car owners. I have an LCD lighted LCD clock that has gone by the wayside (display had crystalized) in my mint '87 Samurai (bought new). I wouldn't want another lighted blob on my dash with my SS. If it were a short ownership, say, 5 or 6 years, then it would be a must in my book.

Standard last model year tactic, use up everything in the warehouse by making everthing that would not sell out as an option, standard (and raising the price). This happened with my late year '96 Corsica, one package only, no options.

But the sunroof they use can't be unique to just the HHR, can it?

BTW - I've had sunroofs on my last 4 vehicles with no leaks. Although one of them had the drain hose get clogged but that was an easy fix.
