Cool I checked out the build your own site,

and noticed that you can order the turbo upgrade kit/option for an additional $695. It's a shame that the display is standard now. Is it true that the sun-stroke roof is also standard? Hope they fixed the headliner problems with that.

What problem with the roof are you talking about.

Is GM offering the stage 1 upgrade, when you order a 2010 SS, as a dealer installed option? I know about the other stuff. "Moon"

I believe that what Pappa_Smurf was saying he found on the build your own page. It does cost more to have it bought with the vehicle, but I guess its better for people that can't dish the money out of there pocket for the GM upgrade seperate.

Hi, I don't own an HHR SS (just started a new job after four months of unemployment, so I am a little nervous about taking on new debt, and I can't bring myself to part with my '04 GTO just yet), but I am very interested in them. My question is this: How much space is in the dash storage bin? I have been reluctant to wait for a 2010 model, since they all come with the performance display and not storage bin. However, if it really doesn't hold all that much, I guess I might be making a bigger deal of it than it merits.

Thanks for your input.

For clarification:

If the stage kit is dealer installed at the time of original vehicle delivery, it carries the same powertrain warranty as OEM or 5 years, 100,000 miles.

If purchased over the counter(web-trunk-trenchcoat) and installed by the dealer or you install it, then the warranty is like the parts warranty 12 months/12,000 miles.

So IMHO, it would be best to pay the premium part price/labor for installation at time of delivery to gain the additional 4 years/88,000 miles of powertrain coverage.

They had to detune the torque already for the transaxles as it is so I would not expect any more power from GM.

Right now a lot of people are still looking for the upgrade kit for the Cobalt SS since it never arrived yet.
Dude the Cobalt kit has been out for quite some time now. Check out css.net there are tons of people with it installed

I'm speaking about the GM Performance Parts stage kit.
I can scan the actual GM Service Bulletin also, but for now read the following.
Here is the link:

http://www.gmpartshouse.com/products...grade-kit.html

Clearly stated under Warranty Clarification statement.

Still wrong, there has been discussion about this before. You are misinterpreting the way the warranty was written, don't feel bad, most the rest of us did also. If you do a little bit deeper searching on this site and others you will see what I'm taking about.
