Yonash, I guess the young people of today don't understand that GM is making a great vehicle. And another thing that I don't understand is if they love North America, why not support the Companies that build our products.
But that is another area I won't get into. Buy from home if your home is here.
Gotta love people doin' the walk around though...

It is not just the young I see a lot of old Camry owners.
I have one guy at work all worked up over Mazda and I asked him about a Ford. He would have nothing for Ford or any other American car. Then I brike the news to him that Ford owns Mazda and that Mazda and ford cars in many cases carry the very same parts or plaforms.
He also like to say American cars can not rack up the miles. I then asked how often he has seen a Chevy Barreta? He said often and then I asked when the last one was built? He was shocked it was so long ago and I pointed out most of them have 100,000-400,000 miles. I even have seen one with more than 500,000.
This precieved veiw is what is killing Detroit. Honda are good cars but not all are bullet prood. Toyota has their problems too [Tocoma's with broken frames]. On the other hand GM and the other 2 are building much better and in many cases better cars.
People just have lost faith and the big three need to win it back. I just hope it is not too late.

I dont think its an age thing at all. Im 26 and All my freinds including myself drive imports, all of them turboed of coarse. The problem is that gm and ford have totally missed the market until recently on affordable turbo charged four cylinders. Until 03 there was nothing really fun, then there came the srt-4 which was just chinsy as hell inside, Chevy is really setting the mark with this new turboed motor for domestics, its just gonna take a while for us youngins to get on board
one more thing, When it comes to dropping big money like that I want something that doesnt have a lowsy build quality. Domestic cars the past few years just had a really poor feel to them overall they just didnt have that tight feel i wanted with a brand new car, i think theyre finally FINALLY seeing what people truly want in a car its just gonna take a bit.
I was down at the beach yesterday and a young guy in an old S-10 pulls in. He jumps out with his girlfriend and snaps a pic of the SS with his phone. I thought he was having a fit. Must of been his first siting of an SS. Always nice to know that some of the young guys admire the SS. Thought most were in love with ricers.
Just want to let you know that I am 24, and Have ordered my 09 SS and could not be happier.Oh yeah did I mention that I own a 1950 chevy truck I am hotroding and I work with my brother at his Muscle Car Restoration shop.
I feel what you are saying about about us young guys.
