Exclamation huge favor to ask of MI SS owners

My mother is trying to drive an hhr ss WITHOUT the performance driver seat, however she can't find any on the lot...

would anyone be willing to let her drive one like this? every stick she has found has had the performance seat, and she hates it... and there are very few autos still out there, and all of them have the performance seat as well...

i can't really help you but just wondering, are the raised seat bolsters "poking" into her legs? Some other ppl have complained about that on here.

Seems like it bothers some ppl but not others...

it hurts her back. She was in an accident about 13 years ago and her back has never been the same, so car shopping is difficult because she is uncomfy in so many cars.

Basically here is the rundown on the likes/dislikes on the hhr:

hates basic seat

likes leather seat alot, but hates headrest

like ss headrest, but cant stand the performance seat

can't find a flippin non performance seat anywhere but i think it should be great.

we would need to add heated to it some how...

see my dilemma?

she likes the leather regular ss, she wants an 08 because it will be a few k cheaper then an 09, she doesn't even care about the ss, just hates the headrest on the leather seat, and can't find a stick w/ leather. so a stick SS is the next option.

on another note, i might have found a dealer that isn't hours and hours away that has one on their lot. it's an auto, but at least we can find out of the seat is ok.

all of this will help because she is willing to trade seats with someone, and shaheen in lansing has a BFM w/ stick, but it has the seat... so if she bought that she could get the exact setup she wants... it even is minus a sunroof...

Where in MI are you? B/C I know of a car in Amherstburg Ontario that is an SS and has regular seats. It is an auto but you could get a feel for it there. If you are close to detorit it would not be that far to go.

Correct me if I am wrong here guys but the SS seat is the same as the LT seats other than the ultralux/cloth design, same seat backs and headrests just different material? I know the seat base s different on the performance seat.
