Advice on purching a HHR SS
Be sure to test drive the vehicle.
Visit the Kelly Blue Book site or the NADA site to see the approximate values of the HHR that you are looking into purchasing.
See if you can obtain the VIN and then contact your local Chevrolet dealership's service department to see if they will give you the service history of the vehicle.
Check out a Carfax for the vehicle.
I hope everything will go smoothly with this, no matter what you decide to do.

It may be equipped with the GM Turbo Upgrade kit. An easy check is to look at the upper TMAP sensor that is in plain sight located behind the radiator support when you open the hood.
If the sensor is black in color, fastened with 2 bolts and has multicolored wiring, it's stock. If the sensor has a blue & white BOSCH label, fastened with only 1 bolt and has white wiring, it has the kit. There's supposed to be an emission sticker under the hood and a "premium fuel required" sticker inside the fuel filler door, but the installer may or may not have affixed them.
Good luck and many happy miles...
