It's probably like the Stage kit, the 1st one will take much longer, but the rest will be much quicker. Hopefully your dealer will have more to do so they can make their money back.

Your "boost" gage reads manifold pressure/vacuum, and the brake vacuum is entirely different, no worries.

If it does, do you guys have a way of getting back some of that lost time from GM?

I didn't really car about how much time it took because I dropped it off after work and took the free loaner vehichle and picked it up the next day after work. I asked about the stage one kit and they said that they will charge actual hrs worked to install it. He said I would be better off installing it myself. Is that possible?

Can't be done... You need to reflash the ECM, and you can't do that yourself. Once you change out the sensors, the car won't run until it has been reflashed....

OK, let me restate that. Unless you want to pull the car onto a trailer and change out the sensors and haul it to the dealer and push it into the stall and have them reflash it (which they will charge you for).... I think you get my drift.

That's not allowed, unless you want to purchase the kit yourself. As esmarkey stated it still has to be programmed too.

First install done. It took exactly 3.0 hours and that includes programming time. My shop foreman is the greatest tech in the world!

Mine is going in Monday to get check out. They will keep it overnight to verify what we all know it does.

I will then have to bring it back to get it repaired when the parts are in.

I am also trying to get a price on the stage kit install. If they are reaonable I will let them do that too while it is in. They wanted me to bring the instructions in to they could give me price.

Mine was never real bad if I just let it sit and run till I got vacume but I did have a few times it did not stop as I was hoping. [Pucker time] The remote start really helped in dealing with this.
