Question Cobalt and HHR SS models to be discontinued?

I was reading over on another car forum today (discussing Chevy's plans on whether or not to come out with a new LSA-powered Camaro Z28) and came across another blog post about the Cobalt and HHR SS's being on the chopping block for 2010.

Haven't spent a lot of time looking for more info but I was wondering if you guys had heard anything about the HHR SS being axed? Hope not!

The Cobalt is coming to an end with a new small car to take it's place. Follows that all versions of the Cobalt will be discontinued.

The SS line will end in 2010 and the standard HHR and Cobalt soon after.

The Chevy Cruze and the Chevy Orlando will replace both of them.

Keep in mind both are old cars on a very old platform. Time flys while your having fun!

The LNF turbo will live on in other cars. The Buick Lacrosse so far has been anounced and others will soon follow. Lutz is a fan of this engine and will use it well in many other cars. Yes Bob is staying at new GM and will have more say this time over product that we will see.

Been in the works for a while. HHR and Cobalt are on the Delta platform and that ends with the arrival of the Delta II platform. No updated HHR.....

They have enough 4 speed trannys till 2011 if I read right. Someone here has the time frame on the trannys. The cars die as they run out of parts. The Six speed will not fit.

so this thing called the Orlando is going to replace the HHR?

reminds me of the Pontiac Aztek, which was arguably the ugliest vehicle ever built.
