The SS won't be worth squat as a collector or a trade-in, so might as well drive it like you stole it. Hopefully I'll give the SS to one of my daughters when the time comes to get a new car, which won't be for another 2 years or so.

Cautiously going to drive more this winter. Still have the Jeep for the weather. I just really don't want to subject her to the nasty stuff. The thought of ice chunks blasting off the thin sheet metal, the turbo intercooler being a meer few inches off the salt flavored slush, the hidden potholes and chunks of asphalt in the snow just waiting to bend or burst a sidewall on my $900 tires. No thank you.
I've had it out in some fresh snow. Traction was fine until I hit ice trying to go up my dad's driveway. Nope, wasn't going to happen without a good running start. (no siping in the Goodyear GT's)

The SS is as good as any FWD car out there. For the most they will go through most normal and heavy snow conditions out there. Minw has been a tanks with only all season tires.

To be honest it is boring car in the snow. My GMS with Posi was a blast since you could pitch it and drift it.

If one can not drive an SS in the snow they should not be in the snow. That is with out the Pilot tires on it as they OE tires are crap in rain let alone snow.

The only issue I have is the risk for stone chips goes up.

Daily driver for sure. In fact, mine's (ahem) more or less a winter car. I ride a motorcycle in all but snowy weather, March through December.

Another DD SS owner here. I've put about 46K on her since I bought her brand new 6/09. She's been pretty good on the stock Michelins in snow. Speaking of which,I need to get off this thing and go swap my summer wheels/tires for the stockers.
