Where in South Jersey are you located? I haven't seen anything more than a dusting of snow this year in my area.

It sure does

This was driving down an unplowed road.

I am OK on flat land, but couple an incline with ice or deep snow and I 'm not moving very well.

To the OP, I have found that running the Michelin's with about 28 PSI in the tires does help, but they are wide, so will tend to ride on top and spin.

Thank you for all of your replies! My previous car was a Trailblazer with 4X4 and I loved the ride and the room but, as the gas prices went up I had to find something that was good on gas, looked good with Skies & surf board on top and wasn't a dog going up hills.I was almost ready to give up my HHR and trade it in after my forth encounter of Hills and snow in which I cannot drive up the driveway with a rolling start because the driveway bottom begins steep from the road. Maybe in the furture I can see if the bottom driveway can be cut out at an agle to accomidate my car. I am going to price snow tires and rims and letting my chrome wheels rest for the rest of the winter. Thanks again to all you HHR enthusiast

YES snow aka winter tires for OPTIMAL safety and control,#1 winter tires are softer in colder weather, #2 tread pattern is optimal, recommended on ALL FOUR WHEELS, people get by on some all season BUT winter tires, after a wreck you will wish you gave yourself better traction, WINTER tires STOP BETTER TOO!!!!!!!!
