Not wanting to open up a front wheelwell liner all that soon so i can verify. Was wondering if SS's had clear or amber turn signal bulbs .Reason i was asking was i saw those "special" bulbs the other day that appear clear/blue until they are turned on, then amber in color. Was thinking of going that route, just for looks/to be different.
I looked at the turn signal area in the headlight pod, but kinda looks like the area around is amber and can't say for sure if it really is or the bulb reflects to make the color around itself. The trusted manual did not really say (by the numbers to me) if it was a clear or amber bulb.

Just wondering if anyone here has been changing a turn sig bulb recently and can recall what it was (clear/amber)
I quessing what i saw was amber tint around the bulb, andf the bulb being clear(which tells me the bulbs i was looking at are not gonna do what i was hopin they would )

I know , a long n stupid question here on something prob so easy to answer. Just did not want to open up the wheelhouse to check (Tho with the SilverStars in my SS now, i'll prob be back in there too soon to suit me in replacing a premature burnt out one )

The bulb and the area around it is amber.

 

That was one option that i thought coulda been also.
So i quess changing to the "blue until it turns on" bulbs won't change the look in my application then.

no it will jus change the bulb blue. The fall edition HHR has clear lenses instead of amber.

 

Time to start waiting for a fall HHR to wreck, so I can get its headlamps...I hate amber...

I had the clear looking/amber lighting bulbs (from PIAA I think...) in my tC, and they were verynice.
