Does this 50/50 mixture have to be exact ?
Not familiar with trifecta tune --what is that
my 08 was tuned by a speed shop in Richmond va. to get approx 300 hp -about 278 at the wheels -
Does the tune have to be an E47 tune - If I tried this mixture with the tune I have now , would there be any gain ?

Check with your tuner. Your tune may be set up for a specific octane rating.

what I got out of it is with running e47 is being able to increase timing above the the average range when running on 93/91 octane. for example, on pump gas, max timing without KR a car can get away with is at like 16*, with e47, you can run over 20* long as theres no KR. may be better to get the car on a dyno to see how much timing you can run before KR and where power starts to drop off.

its important to get an ideal of the percentage of ethanol your local pump is running. even though the pump says e85, it can greatly vary on how it was processed. for example, the local pump wher im at says it can range form 40%-80% but after testing a sample it came back at 95%. now this would be summer blend, so come fall/winter i'm gonna test another sample to see if the pump switches to a lower blend or not and retune my ecm accordingly.
