Oh well. Flood car as-is. sucks to be him. he'll wast money trying to get anything out of this. when you buy as is you legally assume your buying a piece of crap that will fall apart the second it hits the road and that's fine with you

Damaged cars is all this seller deals with. They may have a "don't ask, don't tell" deal with the insurance company they get all their cars from..... they knew it was flooded and I'm sure they know the state these cars come from because of title work, but I doubt they even want to know more than that. The less they know the less liable they are.....

The buyer was warned it was a flood damaged car. He took a risk to save $7,000 and lost.
He should have checked the car out first hand and most likley did not do so.
The seller may be a creep but no one had a gun on the guy buying it so he has no one to blame but himself. He was warned as is and has to assume at that point all issues that may happen my be his.
If you want a new car buy a new car. If you like to gamble or could fix any issues yourself take the risk.
As they say buyer beware.
This is what is wrong with society anymore. No one will take responsibility for their actions any longer.
If it was clear to us it was in a flood he knew too. If it was clear there was no warranty to us it was clear to him too. Sometimes these risk pay off sometimes they don't. Just be prepared to take the responsibility if it does go south.
