I just got mine too just have not installed it yet.

The plate is just like the one on my SS on the last page of this thread but this one will deploy electricly.

It mounts flat under the air dam slides forward and flips up.

You only need to connect power to the unit and it has a wireless remote key FOB to put the plate up or down.

It is about the only one that will work with the HHR.

It is univeral but will install in just a few min.

There is a space in you front close out panel under your nose you will need to put a space in and get two longer stainless screws. The third hole in back is already there. and just need enlarged.

Check out Youtube as there are some video demos on there.

Corvette, Solstice and Mustang guys are just eating these things up.

I'l keep my windshield mounted one. I'd end up forgetting about it in the wrong part of town and getting a ticket. No one has said anything about my suction cups yet.

In states the front plate is required they usually say it has to be bolted to the bumper and visable.

Many also say it should not be hinged to you will have to watch even with this plate as it is not really legal in the full definition of the law.

Most of us will be playing the odd there are not many of these around and the cop will not know about it. But some will so it is best not to lie or you will get nailed.

Most cops will just tell you to make sure it is visable when on the road.

Got the plate on tonight, pretty slick

I didn't have to drill on anything to get it mounted. Hopefully pictures tomorrow.

I'm a little nervous about how this will hold up over time, seems a little flimsey

Where did you plug the power in?

I ran the power lines up along the drivers side of the radiator. I mounted the wireless transmitter on the back side (in the engine bay) of the bar going across the vehicle. (The bar that has the GM Performance sticker on it)

right beside it is a factory ground to connect to. I ran the power wire to the Postive post by the back of the battery.

The bolts for the ground and positive are bigger than the eyes on the wires. I snipped them in half so the eyelets would fit and tightened the bolts.

There is an inline fuse so no reason to get power from the fuse box. Plus this way you can use the plate with the vehicle off

I was doing 60mph to work today and flipped up and down the plate, worked just fine
