I don't know much about the SS automatic transmission, but I believe they are a Saab unit (MU3 I think) and different from the 4T45E units in the LS/LT.

Rock Auto doesn't show auto or manual transmission as a factor in SS hub selection, so the auto and manual SS hubs must have the same splines (30-spline).

Unfortunately, GSP doesn't list an axle for the SS automatic transmission.

Rock auto has another vendor for SS manual trans axle shafts called SURTRACK/TRACMOTIVE, and (unlike the Cardone parts) shows the correct splines for the SS manual:

I don't know what's going on with the SS automatic trans axle shafts. There is conflicting info everywhere.

They don't have a listing for the automatic.

Those Cardon’s fit perfectly into Oldblue , but that’s not an SS
I noticed the spline counts , but I think it’s a matter of trusting the description of the parts

MU3 is the F35, 5 speed manual transmission code
The F23 manual also a 5 speed and the 4T45 automatic are listed in here..

Nope. You've got your info all backwards. The 5 speed in the SS is the Saab MU3. Here's a partial list of the RPO codes:
MN5 Transmission - Auto 4 SPD, HMD, 4T45-E
MU3 Transmission - Man 5 Spd, SAAB, 76.5 mm, 3.38 1st, 0.70 5th
MX0 Merchandised Trans - Auto Provisions, O/D
M86 Transmission - MAN 5 SPD, GETRAG, 5T45-E, M, F23, 75 mm, 3.58 1st, 2.02 2nd, 1.35 3rd, 0.98 4th, 0.69 5th

You're right firemangeorge. I seem to have had a dyslexic GM build code attack!

Maybe it's time to take some time off away from HHR parts lists and get a beer and go on the boat.

Actually, I am waiting for the boat hauler to take my boat from my yard and put it in the water (26' cruiser, no trailer).

Boating has been considered "essential" here for months now.

That reminds me, I have to ping the guy and bug him to take it to the slip!
