GM Transmission fluid
Gm is not a lubricant manufacturer just a repackager. They request gl5 or gl4 for the MU 3 transmission which the SS has. Just wondering what the differences in weight between a 75 W 85 + 75w90. Surely you can use any manufacturer as long as it meets the GL 5 or gl4 definition. I'm going with Amsol or royal purple for this application
I second what XtremeSS said. I found a number of Cobalt SS websites with LONG discussions regarding what to and what NOT to use and they coincide with this information. The friction modifier was a huge no-no. When it came down to it, those that tested it and looked at the differences in wear all agreed...the GM fluid seems to be the best.
