Any tutorials on how to make the pieces to move the rad forward and how to turn the sensor around? I need to do this but would apperciate a how-to or someone local who can help. Thanks!

I didn't do this mod so I can't help the but I did move the intercooler bracket forward on the crash bar with 3 washers like the GM designer recommended and haven't had any rubbing on the AC compressor.

I got nothing to lose. Tell me more about it and I will try it too!

I took the front bumper off and after looking decided I could switch the mounts that hold the intercooler around. I put the drivers side on the passenger side and vice versa. It moved the map sensor forward and so far so good. It hasn't hit yet. I have pushed it a few times, and it seems not to hit the compressor any more. Maybe that will fix it. Just wanted to let you know what I decided to try. I will let you know if it continues to work.

It didn't work. I think it is harder to hit, but I can accelerate hard enough for the map to still hit. May try to move the rad forward and see if helps.

Just trying to figure out what this issue is if you care to explain? How do you know it hits when you accelerate hard?? Does it effect the car in some way?? I have the GMTU and installed it without moving any intercooler and dont have any problems, just trying to figure out what the deal is here.

I have the issue and have not done any of these mods yet but typically under WOT you will notice "boost bounce" like it is trying to get full boost but something is holding it back, or when your driving and floor it sometimes you can notice the boost just not hitting full potential, or it fluctuates.
typically though I have noticed if you let of the gas and THEN punch it it will hit full boost (21-25psi)
is this from the sensor? I dont know either!

I think in many of our cases it's not hitting and the boost bouncing is a bad side-effect of this tune. I have outlined my bouncing symptoms in other threads, did the fix by moving the IC forward and I still bounce when accelerating at times but it's under moderate throttle. When I press down after the bouncing starts it finds itself and the bouncing steadies and boost climbs. I verified with the corvette tech on the lift that there were never any signs of rubbing once we got a close up look.

As for it not hitting full potential all the time... It won't. I can push 23psi but not immediately if from a 40mph roll for instance. There are safeguards built into the GMTU auto's tune.

I also don't see folks with automatic with the sensors but an aftermarket tune having this problem. I could be wrong just a feeling.
