Bill,
I just want you to know that any desicion I make isn't based on any negative comments here. It is soley based on warranty issues. I actually really appreciate all that Hahn has to offer for our little slice of heaven. I love having the ability to stomp on all the rice grinders from the east. I also love having options, if it were up to GM I would only have one upgrade available. My Grandpa was a Engineer for GM and if he were alive today he would love to see the SS being brought back. Thanks ya'll.

I have the Trifecta tune and NOTHING was voided. I'm good friends with the service manager and got to know mechanic who worked on my car at the dealer. The mechanic just happens to own a cobalt ss he’s ready to start hot rodding and he liked the tune as well as the Hahn exhaust, intercooler and piping. Anyway, Three weeks ago I was in for an oil change and a tranny issue so I asked that he hook up my car to see if anything happened and he said NO BIG RED ALERT Lights came on when he hooked it up. He also mentioned that they are too busy and don't have time to sit around digging for stuff to void warranties.
Tom, the mechanic should be in touch with you soon for a tune if he hasn’t ordered already. I already told bill they called me up in the middle of the day after I dropped off the car to ask where the exhaust came form because they were digging it so much, so Hahn should have another sale coming too.

i got my ss back in july of 08. a month later i got the hahn ppc. as someone said it was the only one. since then,i have ALL hahn performance parts on my car(waiting on that CAI AND BOV BILL). i have yet to have ANY problems, knock on wood. however, the gm tune has caused more headaches than any of the tunes. it kills me when people compare the tunes. THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!! i would challange ANY stock turbo bolt on ss,mod for mod and that car would not walk away from me,nor should i pull on him. last thing, imo, i always liked the idea of someone that has been doing this a loooonnnggg time to handle my cars performance. thanks bill!!!

If you have the stage kit, you have no choice but to "stack" any tune, Hahn or otherwise. Once you change the scaling for the new TMAP sensors, there's no turning back. The GM tune changes parameters not visible to third party tuners. Only a small portion of the E69 has been cracked.

All the tunes aren't the same, not even close, thats a bunch of BS. A good HP tuners tune will blow away any of the tunes, followed by Trifecta (only because this is canned then re-tuned through files). Of course bolt ons will make a difference, but if you take cars with the same bolt ons and compare them you will see a difference on the same dyno with different tunes.

While you may think Hahn is the be all end all, there are cars (LNF cobalts) that don't have one Hahn part on them making more power and faster than any cobalt with the BSR tune.

No offense to Hahn, its good to have multiple choices as far as parts go.

If Hahn wants people to have there BSR tune (now that there are multiple tunes out) they need to lower the tune down to around $400-500 and hope it can compete with Trifecta and HP tuners. Otherwise people will opt for either a GM tune with warranty or one that performs better for the same money.

Currently Trifecta is the most dedicated and has unlocked the most information for tuning on the LNF. That is a fact.

Your biggest difference with a custom tune is that you can always make changes as you keep building your car. I have the stage kit (i got it for the 3 bar map sensors) and tuned with HP tuners on top of it because im going to be doing a big turbo somewhere in the near future. And i will have dyno numbers soon with my HP Tune. The number in my sig is with full boltons and the stage kit and the new numbers will come in the spring

Bart,
Your ride sounds pretty wicked. So you are saying that even with the Stage 1 by GM you still stacked electronic upgrades on top of it. I may be misunderstanding but I am interested in numerous upgrades. Thanks for the info, and I'm excited to hear your future Dyno numbers.

already done that. the difference??? a whopping 3hp. that is no difference to pull away from each other. ALL TUNES ARE THE SAME!!! hp tuners bee out awhile...still waiting on these tables to be unlocked??? like i said, they are all the same. show some dyno numbers from an unbias shop that trifecta puts out more. look at my mods, everyone with these mods are putting out close to the same numbers. keep in mind where you live and climate plays a big part on what you see on the dyno. i live at sea level so my numbers would be close to accurate. i'm not talking about cobalts...talking about OUR car.
