Ok so I never got to taking it out and testing it the same but I got right under there and noticed when I push the pedal by hand, with my other hand I can move the sensor fork end maybe 2-3mm more. Theres a little play between 2-3mm where it can go further but doesn't with the pedal. I'm not sure if the pin coming from the spring (I think it was the spring, between the sensor fork) is supposed to be in the middle of the fork NOT making contact with it, but it is on one side. Unfortunately can't push and hold the pedal, move the sensor that little bit annnnd start the car, so I might end up trying to swap it or at least take it out like he did in the video tomorrow

OK here's something different to check. I had a no crank situation a while back also. It turned out to be either the clutch pedal return spring bushing, or the clutch pedal position sensor, or maybe a combination of both.

Here is how I fixed the bushing problem.

Will look into this tomorrow and post a reply, thanks for the links

Just wanna say I really do appreciate the output and advice you guys are giving. I know it's a lot and it's confusing, but this is all new to me and just having somewhere to throw ideas around makes this whole situation a little more bearable, so thanks to everyone pitching in

I still think it’s something simple, a forgotten ground wire, incorrect wiring, a bad starter, something obvious but just not detected yet.

I think the starter not working is something I did when cleaning the grounds, like a wire needs to be on top vs bottom and needs switched. As for the car not starting again I'm not sure. Both starters work outride the car, so it has to be wiring to the starter or something

The clutch position sensor is a variable resistor, so full motion is essential. The computer reads the resistance and decides what to do; if it doesn't read right it disables the starter relay. Things like dirty connections and frayed wires make a difference.

using this video I tested the starters, they work. The ignition wire isn't receiving 12v, its 0.22 in accessory when I think it should be 0. On crank its 0.26, what would cause the starter wire to not receive the power needed to engage? I'm thinking of bench testing the starter while its in the car using jumper cables and an extra wire as the ignition wire, and see if it starts

Would you recommend I check the wiring and voltage all again before messing with the sensor? Because if the sensor is working the starter should still get power right? If its not the starter won't get power? But also the dirty connections and wires could do the same thing

Is there any wiring for the clutch pedal sensor within the engine compartment? Like any of the wires I took off and cleaned?

Yes, the 3 wires connect the sensor to the ECM.
